My story

It all started on the small island of Ocracoke in the Outer Banks of North Carolina when I caught my first wave on a surfboard. Since then my life has revolved around surfing and board design. As a teenager I spent my summers surfing and teaching surfing on the very shores where I first learned. When it came time to further my education I found myself studying music and fiberglass boat building in Wilmington, NC. After four years I was given the opportunity to move back to one of my favorite places, Ocracoke. On the island, I managed mens retail and directed the surf camp and private lessons for Ride The Wind Surf Shop for six years. Surfing both long and short boards on the multitude of waves the OBX has to offer, all the while.

Two years after meeting my partner Addie on Ocracoke Island we both decided to take a change of pace and move back to Wilmington where we stayed for three years. I working in photography and yacht repairs.

We always missed having a home in the Outer Banks and finally found the opportunity to move back in 2020 and plant our roots where we feel most comfortable and happy with our two dogs, Ollie and Finn, and our rad cat, Brad, in Avon on Hatteras Island.
